Why this site exists
Most gadget gift guides are long, sponsored, and out of date. They list thirty products so that one of them is bound to fit, and they rarely tell you what is wrong with any of them. We wanted the opposite: a handful of picks per category, chosen from what is actually selling, with the drawback stated out loud.
How we pick
- Start from what's selling. Every list begins with Amazon's live best-seller rankings, not a press release or a sponsor's wish list.
- Filter for real reviews. Four-point-four stars or better, and enough ratings that a few paid reviews cannot move the average.
- Say the gotcha out loud. Every pick carries one honest limitation. If we cannot find one, we have not read enough reviews yet.
Each product card also carries a short summary of what buyers consistently praise and where opinion splits, written from the review themes on the product's Amazon page. We paraphrase; we do not copy reviews.
Who runs it
Gift a Gadget is published by the Gift a Gadget team and operated by SolutionC LLC, an Illinois company that has run online publishing and affiliate businesses for more than twenty years. The site earns commissions from Amazon when you buy through our links; our affiliate disclosure explains exactly how.
